Experts predict that by 2015, China's valve market will be 10% larger than that of the United States and four times larger than that of Japan. Buyers will buy $2.4 billion worth of valves. By 2015, three of the top 10 buyers and six of the top 20 will be based in Asia.
During the economic crisis, the Valve market in Asia continued to grow, while the market in Europe and the United States contracted. Some large publicly held valve companies have small market shares in Asia. This has led some analysts to underestimate the size of the world market. Sales growth at smaller Asian valve companies offset and more than offset sales declines at larger international companies. Asian markets have benefited from China's package, especially in the area of domestic water. Asia's power sector is also influential. Including butterfly, ball, globe, check, solenoid, gate, plug and other types of valves, the global valve market will reach $54 billion in 2015.
